Janice Barringer has performed for 2 U.S. Presidents, danced for numerous professional companies and freelanced with partner Eddie Stewart for 20 years. Janice currently teaches at Pace University and Eglevsky ballet in NYC. She has written two books on pointe shoes and training; The Pointe Book (now on its 3rd edition) and On Pointe are both published by Princeton Book Company. In addition she has written many articles on various subjects concerning dance for all major dance magazines.
Becca Retter teaches for Dance Makers and has taught for many chapters of Dance Masters (DMA) and Dance Educators (DEA). Her work is known around the nation as, “The most age appropriate movement for children”. Becca writes most of the music that she presents choreography to, so you know you’re getting quality music and movement for your students. Becca continues to supply dance studios with the most valuable tool: material for the youngest dancer Her Dance Creation and Dance Adventure series are magic for preschoolers.
Gina Badon is in constant demand as a master teacher & choreographer for conventions, workshops, dance studios, high schools and drill teams. Her innovative approach to choreography has kept her busy creating award winning pieces throughout the country and beyond. Her most recent work includes choreography for the Art Carney Award show hosted by Tom Bergeron and Nickelodeon TV’s, The Thundermans. Gina’s ability to create light, fun, positive, and versatile choreography for all ages is only part of what makes her so in demand.
Aleksandra Wojda Nelson is originally from Chicago where she trained extensively with Giordano Dance Chicago. Upon graduating from Northwestern University, she competed as a top 20 dancer on season 2 of SYTYCD. Aleksandra has performed on television, commercials, industrials, and music videos. Her live performances include Clairobscur Dance, under the direction of Laurie Sefton. When not in LA, she enjoys teaching and setting choreography on young dancers throughout the United States.
Jasmine Hanson was a member of Ingredients Professional Dance Company in Texas and taught on Dance Revolution convention, she worked as a dancer at Universal Studios and Nickelodeon Hotel in Orlando, and was a Dancer’s Bridge member at Retter’s Academy of Dance. Most recently, Jasmine has danced in various live shows, performed on the runway for LA Fashion Week, danced in a Heineken commercial and has been a featured dancer in many music videos. While pursuing a dance career she teaches and works with Rhythm Machine Dance Company at Retter’s Academy of Dance.
Renata Retter Renata is a 2017 graduate of Cal Lutheran University with a Bachelor of Exercise Science. Her passion for dance, teaching and cutting edge choreography has left an imprint on her students and audiences alike. She recently developed two educational products to assist teachers train contemporary students. She is accomplished in all dance genres and in 2013 won the National PTA award for choreography at state and national level. Renata teachers Contemporary and Improve at Retter’s Academy of Dance.
Chris Rogers is the founder and CEO of Maxtreme, Inc, a technology consulting firm. At a young age, Chris’ computer skills, technical abilities, vision, and understanding of the dance industry made him the “go-to” man for technological needs. He has created a unique system called TourPro, which basically runs the operation of over 20 national dance conventions including, Tremaine, Dance Makers, Adrenaline, Hollywood Connection, Artists Simply Human, Bravo, Leap, Thunderstruck…to name a few. Oh, and he has a platinum album from working with Britney Spears!
Micaela Crites was accepted into the Dancers Bridge program in 2013 at Retters Academy of Dance in Los Angeles. Under the mentorship of Darryl and Linda Retter, she began teaching pre-school and hip-hop classes at RAD. Along with dance, she has been exploring the best strategies to promote both Retters Academy of Dance and MusicWorks. As Director of Operations of MusicWorks, she plans on sharing top social media strategies to use for your studio in her class, Social Media Like A Pro.
